Why is everyone wearing jockstraps instead of compression shorts?

I went to the sports store the other day looking for compression shorts and couldn’t find any. I asked a sales guy and he said they only carried “sliding shorts” and thats for baseball and more guys buy jocks instead of compression shorts anymore. He said that compression shorts are kind of over with. I went to the gym that weekend and all the guys from 15-40 were wearing jocks when i walked into the locker room. Does anyone over 14 wear compression shorts anymore, or are they gone? And if they still sell them where in the heck do i get them?

Because jock straps are better and every is afraid if getting hit in the crouch. you can get them on-line at eBay.
I know what you mean, I need some for wrestling, and they are hard to find, I am going to get sliding pants, because they are just like compression shorts, and they have a little padding which isn’t bad for wrestling. I recommend doing the same, but if you look online, you should be able to find some compression shorts, because runners need them, so try some running place. Most guys who play sports, where jocks, I do, but if you don’t need the cup, then sliding pants, or compression shorts will both do the trick.
Yeah i’ve noticed that too. I kinda get the feeling that compression shorts are kinda viewed as things to wear over jockstraps. I’m in HS and thats what most people do. I think most guys would agree jockstraps are something every man should have.
