Anybody knows where I can buy a Foxtail sport ball?
RoobixKyoobingNerd asked:
A foxtail sportball is that thingy that is similar to a baseball, but has a long tail connected to the back of it… And the tail is divided into sections in points. To throw the foxtail you grab the tail and swing it over your head, and release. The catcher must catch by the tail… So anybody know any stores that sell foxtails? My retarded classmate threw it on the roof of the school’s PE locker rooms… $20 gone to waste

Tony, Toni, Tone
Jason Henry asked:
“I cannot believe he just threw another interception!” “Bench him, no wonder Jerry won’t give him a new contract!” “Tony is quite possibly the best quarterback in the NFL right now.” “Jerry needs to sign him to a new contract in the locker room!”
I went through a bevy of emotions this past Monday watching my beloved Dallas Cowboys play the Buffalo Bills. Usually if a quarterback turns the ball over 6 times in one game, the team is probably going to loose. Well, not this time. The Cowboys were able to overcome a game full of mistakes to pull off a victory at the very last second. Cowboy’s kicker Nick Folk was able to nail a 53 yard field goal not once, but twice as time ran off of the clock. Buffalo Bills head coach Dick Jauron called a time out right before the ball was snapped in an attempt to ice the kicker. His strategy failed to work. Nick came out of the timeout and kicked another 53 yard field goal, except this time the points counted.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo threw 5 interceptions and fumbled the football once, yet he was still able to will his team to a victory. During his post game interview, Romo stated that he never lost confidence and always thought that the Cowboys would win. Romo was either going to be the reason the Cowboys lost or the reason they were able to win. He chose the latter.
Watching Tony Romo throw interception after interception was painful. The Cowboys were riding high off of a 4 game winning streak and could not afford to loose going into next week’s game against the un-defeated New England Patriots. The new Cowboys are attempting to establish their own identity. Beating the Patriots would be the first step in doing so. In a locker room that consists of Terrell Owens, it’s going to be a challenge to shake Owens “me-first” mentality. However; Owens has yet to become a distraction and Cowboy players have openly embraced his personality. Yet Owens is no longer the center of attention in Dallas. That moniker now belongs to Tony Romo.
Reading Tuesday morning’s headlines and listening to sports radio talking heads, one would be inclined to believe that Romo is either the best thing since Troy Aikman or Jerry Jones worst decision since he signed Ryan Leaf. Tony is trying to lead his team to their first playoff victory since 1996. Romo is also in a contract year as he will become a free agent at season’s end. Yet with all of the hoopla surrounding the young quarterback, he always seems to stay poised. He never looses confidence and always has a positive outlook. This is the reason why his teammates believe in him and his abilities.
Tony has had a lot of ups and downs over the past year. Last season, he took over for former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Drew Bledsoe during halftime of the team’s game versus the New York Giants. The Cowboys did not win the game, but Romo was able to show enough to warrant being named starting quarterback for the remainder of the season. Tony led the Cowboys to the playoffs to face off against the Seattle Seahawks. The now infamous game will forever be engraved in the minds of true Cowboy fans until the end of time. On a potential game winning play, kicker Martin Gramatica was set to kick a field goal that would put the Cowboys ahead with only seconds remaining. When the ball was snapped, Romo fumbled the ball and the Cowboys ended up loosing the game. During the post game new conference, Romo seemed down and there was speculation that his confidence was shot. Tony proved everyone wrong at the start of training camp. He stated that he was so upset because he let his team down, but he never lost confidence in himself or his abilities.
Although Tony plays football for such a polarizing organization, (you either hate the Cowboys or you love them) there is a lesson to be learned from Mr. Romo. Tony’s success depends on his approach and attitude toward the game of football. Remember the banner your teacher had nailed to the wall in your third grade elementary class? “Your attitude determines your altitude?” Well it seems as if Tony took that banner to heart.
While Tony Romo has a very long career ahead of him and will make more mistakes, it’s important that we recognize his ability to learn from them and move forward. He is not the first or last person in history to display this type of attitude or behavior. However; he is the most talked about quarterback in the NFL right now. The spotlight may beam brighter for him or it may dim. Watching his maturation process has been a fun and agonizing experience. I’m just glad that I’m here to enjoy the ride.

BostonSportsFan asked:
I was told there was something you can spray on your sneakers to make them stick better to the floor (like a gym floor). Do you know what it is? Also, do you know where I can buy it (not order it online – I need it by Monday)? I have tried Foot Locker, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Olympia Sports and Sports Authority. THANK YOU!!

Holidays in the Usa – a Sports Extravaganza
Andy Adams asked:
They say that they do everything bigger over in the good old United States of America; buildings, technology and even food (leading to bigger waistlines too). This fact can be attributed to their sports too. American sports are popular all over the world not just for the average Joe American.
Major sports such as American Football, Baseball and Basketball games are syndicated all round the world for fans to watch on TV. But nothing quite beats being there in person, cheering with the crowd, taking in the electric atmosphere. Many British holidaymakers are timing their holidays with sporting events in the States so that they can add a bit of variety to their holidays.
There’s plenty of regular season games for all the big four (Basketball, Baseball, Football and Hockey) and tickets are rather easy to get hold of, with many arenas and clubs using online booking systems such as Ticketmaster so you can get your tickets sorted early.
In other cases most hotels’ concierge services have connections to the stadiums and may be able to pull a few strings for visitors looking to make the most of their holidays.
One point to be careful of is ticket touts, yes these vultures exist stateside too, and prey upon impressionable tourists, my advice is to stay clear, it isn’t uncommon for tickets to be fakes or getting a child’s ticket instead of an adult’s one. After all you didn’t come thousands of miles to get swindled.
The main attraction of American sports is how much effort and style goes into their big events, the Football has Superbowl, a national treasure in itself. American football is as popular (possibly even more) than football, sorry, I mean soccer, is in the UK.
This is the ultimate in sporting entertainment with fireworks a plenty, pulse pounding action and the halftime shows. The halftime shows are like an arena concert unto themselves, with past performers such as Prince, Paul McCartney and the infamous Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake incident! This year Superbowl XLII is going to be taking place in Phoenix, Arizona and is in March.
The NBA basketball goes above and beyond Superbowl with not only an All-Star game but an entire weekend devoted to the festivities. Apart form the game itself showcasing the cream of it’s NBA basketball players there are other events such as a celebrity game (last year including names like The Green Mile’s Michael Clarke-Duncan and Oscar winner Jamie Foxx) and the high-flying Slam Dunk contest. Basketball is a growing sport over here in the UK and what better way to see the pros than getting to New Orleans for February the 17th.
These are just two stand out spectacles on offer, people that have gone on holidays to America and seen sporting events like these have had a great time, especially families. One activity I have done myself is visit the historic Madison Square Garden arena in New York which was due to host a boxing match between Lennox Lewis and Michael Grant in 2000, and whilst we were unlucky in trying to get tickets we were still able to get a great guided tour of the arena including trophy rooms, locker rooms and the Theatre upstairs that has hosted awards shows and events such as VH1’s Divas Live. Many arenas in the United States offer these tours normally during the day even whilst they’re setting up for events like the boxing match previously mentioned.
In general if you can get tickets good and early then you could easily add some interest and value to your holidays this year!

Rearranging A Wardrobe For N F L Football Season
Jim Brown asked:
As football season approaches, there is typically a lot of activity that occurs in a football fans household. Many women prefer not to think of themselves as football widows from September of one year to January of the next year. They prefer to look at themselves as women who can begin to rearrange a wardrobe for football season.
When organized properly, football season can be a lot of fun. The National Football League buys their football players the finest football uniforms that money can buy. Families deserve to dress just as nice as the men on the playing field and their favorite team should be proudly displayed all over town too. So many committed football wives will take that to task and begin shopping for NFL team jerseys, NFL banners, and even get a few NFL posters and pig-skin footballs for their child’s room.
A family favorite for wear during the football season has always been the Team tee-shirts. Closets are easy to organize when most of the clothes are made of lightweight materials that are easy to wash and maintain, even after the football season has ended. Since many tee-shirt sizes fit several body types, they are more affordable to own and buy too.
NFL tee-shirts are designer wear for family members at very affordable prices. The cost to rearrange a wardrobe is minimal and if organized properly, a family of four might be able to afford season tickets to all of the home games of their favorite NFL team. Souvenirs would be possible too and everybody that goes to an NFL game always wants one or two for other family members that did not make it to the game.
Keeping a good stock of NFL socks on hand is always a good idea. NFL socks are good quality socks that always seem to keep everybody’s feet warm during a game even if there is snow on the ground. If the wardrobe locker at home is truly organized for football season, NFL football fans will always find a nice pair of socks ready to be worn so that everyone can get to the game on time.
Of course, there are special tee-shirts that have to be purchased for post season wild card games. All of the souvenir jerseys might come out of the wardrobe locker for the divisional playoff games that typically will occur on Saturdays. For the Conference Championships, people might have to dig out their NFL team windbreakers and heat up some cocoa because mid-January has a tendency to be quite chilly, even in the South.
The wardrobe locker might begin changing once again by the time the Super Bowl arrives in February. Depending on which team makes it to the Super Bowl every year, it may be necessary for someone to pay attention to who wins the Conference Championships. The last task of the NFL football season will be to make sure that everybody in the family will be wearing either an AFC Champion clothes selection or a jersey or jacket that reflects a team in the NFC. Buying Super Bowl gear will be the thrilling culmination of a terrific football season.
